this posting is actually written on 27 dec 07 but was edited recently therefore, wat u saw should be dated as in year 2007, Dec ..
today is really a sad day for me.. 5 plus in the morning received phone call from my 5th uncle to ask us to go CGH as my grandpa suddenly stomach pain and was sent to hospital. From wat my 5th uncle said is very jat lat and ask us go contact other relatives to go down urgently. We rushed down to CGH and saw my 5th uncle having red eyes n he told us tat our grandpa had passed away. i was stunned by the news as from wat i know my grandpa was a healthy man who seldom go see doctor. He was 92 this yr and the doctor dunno why he died so suddenly. From wat my uncle said at around 4 plus in the morning, my grandpa complained stomach pain to him and therefore my uncle n his wife send him directly to AME. By the time they reach CGH, my grandpa fainted and dunno wat happen liao. My uncle said tat yest night my grandpa still do his normal stuff and came home around 7plus n have his dinner as usual at around 8plus.. A healthy man who always cycle to his sons' houses or even take bus to visit them, he always went different places to watch hokkien opera and ge tai.. suddenly died.. Really cannot believe the truth when i heard the news..
everything happened very fast jus like yest as i could still think of those days where i see my grandpa cycling to places and celebrating chinese new yr at his house.. after seeing his body @ CGH, my eyes automatic filled with tears.. when all our relatives reached, the environment became so saddening as one started to cry, another start too..
however, when my relatives wanna retrieve the body for funeral, we were not allowed to do so as my grandpa died so suddenly without any reasons. Could you believe that, a old man aged 92 without really go see any doctors before but just some eyes specialists nia could just died so suddenly.. although i knew that grandpa did smoke alot but he seldom complain of any illness and he didnt have any medical history for us to provide to the doctor in order to let us retrieve the body.. in the end, grandpa's body was sent for forensic testing which was wat my relatives dun wan cos they wan my grandpa to die with a proper body.
on 28 Dec 07, all the sons went to collect the body and the death cause is out, my grandpa was died due to ischaemic heart disease.. haiz.. really so sudden and from wat my 5th uncle's wife said grandpa had been acting weird for the past 2 months as he went to buy household stuff tat usually he wont buy. Does this show that he knew when he's going off?
have been staying at his funeral for the past few days and everything seems so fast happening just like it had happened last night. have even learnt alot of stuff during this period and really do hope my grandpa would be happy in heaven as he saw so many grandchildren sending him off.. but really hope everything will still remains the same like last time after he passed away. This is wat me and my cousins hope as after grandpa passed away, the elderly became so apart from one another.. haiz.. may the new yr be a better yr..
